Summary

Short Description:
The Met Office's flagship Numerical Weather Prediction system, the Unified Model, underpins both weather and climate prediction and is used in several operational configurations. The Global deterministic 10km model is a global configuration of the Unified Model, delivering highly accurate short-range deterministic forecasts for up to six or seven days, and is recognised as one of the most advanced national meteorological services. Forecasts are generated four times daily: extended runs at 00:00 and 12:00 UTC, and shorter runs at 06:00 and 18:00 UTC.
